About Midge Lipkin, Ph.D.

During Dr. Lipkin's career she has taken several important professional assignments including: Psycho-educational Advisor, New England Medical Center; Director, Dorchester Children's Mini School; and Educational Administrator, Dorchester Mental Health, Children's Clinic. She has held positions as a Supervisor and Teacher in multiple Massachusetts public school programs for the learning disabled, including Winchester, Winthrop, Waltham, Sudbury, and Newton. Dr. Lipkin has been an Instructor/Lecturer at Assumption College, Boston College, Boston University, Lesley College and the Perkins School for the Blind.

Dr. Lipkin’s current practice focuses on private school placement, college counseling, neuroeducational evaluations, and therapeutic placement.  As a neuroeducational evaluator, she conducts in-depth evaluations to determine academic levels and learning styles, and describes educational plans to remedy deficits. Her major emphasis is school counseling.

Dr. Lipkin has a Certificate for Specific Language Disability from Massachusetts General Hospital, and she has membership in the IECA (Independent Educational Consultants Association), the International Orton Gillingham Society, and the NACAC (National Association of College Admissions Consultants). Her published works include The Schoolsearch Guide to Private Schools in the Northeast, The Schoolsearch Guide to Colleges with Programs for Students with Learning Disabilities, and The Schoolsearch Guide to Private Schools for Students With Learning Disabilities.
